Discover the HUADA SSMP-JB1 Ultra-Small RF Coaxial Connector
The SSMP-JB1 ultra-small RF coaxial connector by HUADA is designed for high-frequency applications up to 50 GHz. Its compact push-in design makes it ideal for modular and densely packed installations.
The SSMP® connector series, developed by Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CarlisleIT), aims to enhance package density in RF/Microwave systems.
Compared to its predecessor, the SMP connector, the SSMP® interface is approximately 30% smaller, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
Widely adopted in the industry, it allows design engineers to achieve high performance while maintaining a compact form factor.
Key Features of the HUADA SSMP-JB1 Connector
Impedance: The SSMP-JB1 operates at 50 Ω impedance.
Frequency Range: It covers an impressive range from DC up to 65 GHz.
VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio): The VSWR formula is given by: VSWR=1.02+0.12F
(where (F) represents frequency in GHz).
Insertion Loss: The insertion loss formula is: Insertion Loss=0.04F
(again, (F) is the frequency in GHz).
Dielectric Withstanding Voltage (DWV): The connector can handle up to 325 Vrms.
Insulation Resistance: It maintains an insulation resistance of ≥ 5000 MΩ.
Engagement Forces: The force required for engagement (detent smooth bore) is a maximum of 6.5 lbs, while disengagement force is a maximum of 2.5 lbs.
Miniature Push-On Design: The SSMP connectors are significantly smaller than SMP connectors, saving valuable board space.
Blindmateable Configuration: Allows for blind mating without compromising electrical performance.
Versatile Configurations: Available in board-mount, field-replaceable, bullets, hermetic, and cable connector options.
Customization: Tailored solutions can be designed based on specific requirements.
Temperature Range: The SSMP-JB1 operates reliably in a temperature range from -55°C to +165°C.
Applications: The SSMP-JB1 connectors find common use in optical networking components, especially in 40G and 100G modulator and driver amplifiers.
Cable Connectors: Flexible cable options, including semi-rigid and semi-flex cables, are available for SSMP connectors.
