The SSMP-KB2E connector is part of the SSMP series, which focuses on compactness and high performance. It’s designed for applications where space constraints are critical, making it ideal for densely packed systems. Compared to its predecessor, the SMP connector, the SSMP-KB2E is approximately 30% smaller. Key applications include optical networking components, especially in 40G and 100G Modulator and Driver amplifiers.

Key Features of the HUADA SSMP-KB2E Connector

Impedance: The SSMP-KB2E maintains a 50 Ω impedance, ensuring compatibility with standard RF systems.
Frequency Range: It operates at frequencies up to 65 GHz, making it suitable for high-frequency applications.
VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio): The connector exhibits excellent performance, with VSWR closely following the formula: VSWR=1.02+0.012⋅F (where F is in GHz).
Insertion Loss: The SSMP-KB2E connector minimizes signal loss, with insertion loss given by: 0.04⋅F (where F is in GHz).
Dielectric Withstanding Voltage (DWV): It can withstand up to 325 Vrms.
Insulation Resistance: The connector maintains an insulation resistance of at least 5000 MΩ.
Detent Engagement: Maximum force required to engage is 6.5 lbs.
